Jessie had spent one more time in the car with Emily, only for Emily to place her in a charity box, leaving her shocked and heartbroken that she has been given away. However, years have passed, and Emily has found more mature activities to do, forgetting about Jessie until finding her under the bed one day. Throughout her years as Emily's toy, Jessie has enjoyed being played with, such as being taken for a horseback riding, a drive in her car, and a swing on a tire. When Woody talks to Jessie, she tells him the story about Emily (seen during the " When She Loved Me" musical sequence), a little girl that had been her owner.
The next day, after Woody's arm has been fixed, Jessie sarcastically lets Woody leave, but the Prospector convinces Woody to speak with Jessie to make amends. The Prospector breaks the fight and Jessie still feels bitter about Woody caring only about Andy. That night, after Woody's attempt to retrieve his ripped-off arm has been sabotaged, Woody, having spotted the remote in front of Jessie's case, accuses Jessie for turning on the TV, to which Jessie responds by fighting Woody. She then begins to mock Woody for still having an owner. However, when Woody reveals that he still has an owner and has no intention of going to the Konishi Toy Museum in Tokyo, Japan, with the Roundup Gang, Jessie begins to hyperventilate for fear that she'll go back into storage again. She is energetic, sweet, cute, athletic and has a habit of yodeling when happy or excited. In Toy Story 2, she is the second toy that Woody meets in Al McWhiggin's apartment after Bullseye and before Stinky Pete.

See, Buzz's finally figured out that he's a toy-he saw a commercial for himself on TV at Sid's house.īuzz finally resolves to help Woody…but not before Sid tapes a rocket to his back and takes him out in the backyard to blow him up. (Gee, we wonder why Andy's mom wants to move.)Īt Sid's house, Woody watches as Sid tortures his other toys and tries to escape, but he can't quite get Buzz to go along. Woody and Buzz manage to catch a ride in a Pizza Planet delivery truck, but accidentally end up going with home Sid, Andy's sadistic next-door neighbor who loves to blow up and burn his toys. This is bad news bears, because a) it's tough for toys to move around on their own and b) Andy's moving away from his house in just a few days. Andy's mom stops the car at a gas station and Buzz and Woody have it out, but end up getting left behind in the process. When Andy has to take Woody to Pizza Planet, he also doesn't know that an angry Buzz has managed to tag along on the back of the car. It was an accident, but the other toys are not amused. He ends up falling out of Andy's window instead. One day, Woody overhears that Andy can only take one toy out to dinner with him at Pizza Planet and he tries to push Buzz behind the desk. Woody is clearly super jealous of Buzz, who Andy plays with more and more every day. Buzz doesn't seem to realize he's not a real space ranger, but makes friends with the other toys in Andy's room anyway. Woody and the other toys in Andy's room would like to keep getting played with, so they're pretty nervous when Andy's birthday rolls around and he gets a flashy new Buzz Lightyear action figure. Oh-and we should mention that Andy's toys can walk and talk when Andy's not around? They also have feelings. But he doesn't love any toy more than Sheriff Woody, a little floppy-armed cowboy doll.
